[Scary School: Episode 0]

Needs work

I can see where you're going with this, but it's not perfect for a first episode. Your animation and graphics kick all kids of asses, but your pacing was slow, the voicework wasn't anything special and the script wasn't too funny.

But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? Just keep in mind the mistakes with this toon and keep that nice artstyle with you and you'll be alright.

Thanks. This wasnt the planned first episode. The first episode was originally going to be an awesome creation.

Everyone I showed the script loved it. But like i stated earlier, things happened.

And I really disliked this script but I was rushed into it and to get them to shut up I just worked on it. And the reason why the jokes wernt funny is they wernt made by me.

Most all jokes in here were by my friends.

Good but not great

You guys have done better in the past, not to say that this is bad because you've obviously poured a lot of attention into it. But I think you're starting to rely on old jokes too much.

Very nicely done

Congrats on finally getting this project off the ground. I can see that this is probably the most epic of all your movies and that the jokes are bit more straight forward this time around. Even though the "Easter egg" wasn't anything special.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

I know you've been getting this a lot but that was something beautiful. Yet further proof that you can make something enjoyable in flash without resorting to violence. That song was just too captivating, I can see this becoming the next badger badger bader or Banannaphone...but in a good way.

And I checked out your website. You are one talented fella, you know that? Keep up the good work.

A sprite movie I actually enjoyed! That was great, funny too. Not only was it educational, but Mario made it fun! Fantastic!

As bad as your animation is, it will probably get better with time. I'm not too concerned about that. I think it's great that you're trying to make a series, I wish everyone the best if that's what they're trying to do. But come on, do you consider this a good cartoon?

None of the voices are memmorable and it sounded like none of your actors put any effort into the delivery.

The erratic 'random-style' jokes had no point to them and the overall story relied too heavily on awkward silences, "Remember the time when" lines and words like "Meh" and "Uh" that just don't count as dialogue.

I'm just giving it to you straight, This needs a lot of work.

What can I say that hasn't been said before? This is obviously a masterpiece and if you aren't currently working for an animation studio then you should be. The dedication you put into your work is astounding and you should very proud of yourself. I guess it just goes to show you that hard work and the extra effort can go a long way.

Now, I think you could have squeezed in more movie if you hadn't have gone ahead and make two openning credit sequences. And for all the skill you have in special effects and animation wizardry, I just don't think your character design is very impressive.

You have the start of a wonderful and epic saga on your hands. I hope we get to see many more of these in the near future.

Not so good

This isn't a good way to start off a series. Sure, your voice and music work is good...but none of your characters are likeable/memorable, the joke(s) are dull, the pacing is slow and you've shown that you can't pull off good transition or establishing shots.

The idea is there but it's not executed very well. And just so you know, the spousal abuse "joke" would have been "funnier" if there wasn't a delayed reaction from the laugh track...why would you wait until the wife got in the middle of the shot before you threw in the laugh track?

I'll be honest with you fellas

I had a hard time keeping track of everything that was going on. Too much random nonsense for my liking.

HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I didn't find it funny. I'd say work on backgrounds, maybe plan out some of your scenes a little better but other than that I say you have something going for you.

Bonus marks in my books for the use of Trailer Park boys.

Absolutely amazing

Yes. That was fantastic, I'm so upset that I didn't see this sooner. Don't think about improving your artwork, not for a second...more movies like this are demanded by me! Awesome Dave was indeed Awesome.
